Weekly Post, Gilda Louise Aloisi by Alli

These photographs are by a photographer named Gilda Louise Aloisi, who was born in Rome, Italy in 1983. She graduated in Cambridge and then continued her studies in the UK, completing a BA in photography at The University Of Arts of London. She began photographing in her adolescence, specializing in portraiture, documentary and music photography. The pictures above are some that I chose that appealed to me the most. Her style of photographing, to me, is very quiet and subtle. They also seem as if they are personal to Aloisi. With that being said, if these photographs are personal, the way she captures them in this quiet, subtle way, leads me to get a sense of the love she has for her subjects and the photographs alone. Today, Gilda Louise works between Italy and New York. She has exhibited in London, New York, Rome, Milan, Turin and Venice.
