Tim Walker's latest work involve romantic notions and themes of male dominance in relationships with a lion as a stand-in. The lion being the king of beasts makes a fitting substitute and in the images it appears the lion is almost nurturing and partnering with the female model. Walker uses staged narratives with sometimes cryptic or bazaar meanings. His scenes are formally lit with both what appears to be natural lighting balanced with artificial and flat lighting creating a mood of intimacy and warmth. His images are usually featured in British Vogue but he has been published in other fashion magazines across the pond here in the states.
