Betrand Carrière by Ken Riley

Signes De Jour or Signs of the Day by Betrand Carrière is a series in black and white done in 2001. The images are a glimpse into a year long study of his children and how physical touch of both humans and the landscape can have a lasting and profound effect.

The images record both common and not so common events captured in black and white to give a timeless feel. You can almost feel the warmth of the breeze as the young boy does in the last image or the coolness of the water that surrounds the girl in the flowing stream.
