Weekly Post: Katrin Koenning by Jessica Fee

Katrin Koenning did a photography series on her deceased brother-in-law, Chris. Her series is called, "Dear Chris". He also took his own life and she used the series to deal with death, memories of him and what his aspirations were and what he liked to do. She used the series to relay how she was feeling, items of his life that represented times in his life and places that were important pieces to his life.
Stephanie is actually the one who emailed me this photographer and I could not thank her more. It was really good to read the article about her work and visit her website. I really enjoyed that she has a mix of photographs that you aren't sure of at first, and some that are. They are personal to her and meaningful and this is inspiration for my series.
